Hello 5th Grade Parents, Thank you to those who came out to get some information on 5th grade camp. If you could not make it out that is ok, I am sending out ALL of the information that was presented, so you are up to date with EVERYTHING 5th Grade Camp. We will be sending out more information as we get closer to camp that will include due dates, fundraiser opportunities, and so much more. Our goal is for ALL students to go to camp, so please let us know if you need assistance, and we can see what we can do to help out. Finally, our next parent information night will be on February 6, 2025. Look out for all of the details for that important information. WUE-WEE!! Woodhaven Upper Elementary students showed their generosity by donating toys for Toys for Tots with the Woodhaven Kiwanis. Students from the WUE Charity Club, under the direction of Mrs. McCollum, stuffed a bus full of toys during the WUE's 15 Days of Giving Celebration.

Remember tomorrow is our monthly WUE Family Night at Buddy's Pizza on Allen Road. From 11am-9pm, mention the WUE (dine-in) or use the code GIVE BACK (online) and the WUE gets a percent of the earnings. Hope to see you there!

Please make sure your child wears a coat to school each day, so they have what they need for outdoor recess. If you need a coat for your child please let us know and we can help assist you with that need. We want to make sure all of our Warriors are safe.

Thursday is Lions' Day here at the WUE! We are encouraging everyone to wear their Lions' gear and colors to school. Let's show some spirit for our team as they have a big game against the "cheeseheads".

Today our WUE PTO blessed the staff with Staff Thankfulness BINGO where each staff member had a BINGO board and the first 10 Bingos were able to choose from mystery envelopes that contained anywhere from one cent to one hundred dollars! Our staff had a blast and congrats to our winners! Thank you PTO for showing us that what we do matters and in recognized!

The month of December at the WUE is ALL about GIVING! We will be having donation drives all month and are hoping that our students and families can get into the holiday spirit with us! December 2-10 we are collecting toys (new) for Toys for Tots through Kiwanis of Woodhaven. December 11-13 we are collecting children's books (new and used) for the Rotary Club. December 16-18 we are collecting donations (cat/dog food and kitty litter) for the Woodhaven Animal Shelter. December 19-20 we are doing the Gift of Words here at school :) Thank you for partnering with us!

5th Grade Parents- We will be having information meetings for 5th Grade Camp in December. Houses A & B will have their meeting on Mon Dec 2nd at 7pm. Houses C & D will have their meeting on Mon Dec 16th at 7pm. These are not mandatory meetings, but just a great way to gain more info on the end of the year camps.
