Next week at the WUE we will be having a Spirit Week to celebrate National School Counseling Week. We are blessed to have Mrs. Klaas and Mrs. Kanagawa here at the WUE. 📚❄️ Reminder - NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22, 2025. ❄️📚 Due to dangerously cold temperatures, all Woodhaven Brownstown School District buildings will be closed on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Take a cue from Sidney, who can usually be found at Bates Elementary School, to snuggle up, grab a good book, and dream of warmer days ahead. Families will purchase a box of 60 candy bars for $34 and then sell the chocolates for $1 a bar and keep the $26 to put toward the cost of the trip. Chocolate pick up: January 27th 3:30-6:00 PM and then each morning before school until February 14th. Cash or check can be turned in to purchase a new box or sent in via Paypal- WUEPTO@wbsdweb.com Please add $1 per box to Paypal payments for the fee.

If your child is going on the 6th Grade Chicago Trip or to 5th Grade Camp, we have a great way for you to pay for those trips without any cost to you! Our PTO is assisting families with a Chocolate Bar fundraiser where all proceeds go straight to the trip! Check out the flyer for more info!

This holiday season, our students are learning the true meaning of giving! ❤️ Miss Mahoney and her class joined forces with Ms. Turner’s class to spread holiday cheer through the gift of words. 📜💌 Our students wrote heartfelt holiday cards to the residents of Symphony Applewood Nursing Center, sharing kind notes and festive wishes to brighten their day. 🌟 The smiles and excitement on the kids' faces as they worked on this project were truly magical! 🖍️🎁 Together, we’re embracing the spirit of the season and making a difference— one thoughtful card at a time. #15DaysOfGiving #WUEWarriors #HolidayCheer #KindnessMatters #WhyWBSD 🎄❤️

We are excited to host a Cookies and Movie incentive, “Prepping for a Landing at Winter Break,” for our fifth and sixth-grade students, and we need your help to make it a success! This event is a fun reward for students who have shown outstanding effort and behavior.
