Students from the Dental Program at Woodhaven High School recently competed at the Regional HOSA Competition, held at Grosse Ile High School.The students took first through third places in dental science, and also placed in CPR/First aid and Health Career Display categories. Those who placed will be moving on to the State HOSA Conference at Grand Traverse Resort April 16-19. Kindergarten students in Mrs. Weitzel's class at Gudith Elementary School recently learned about groundhogs and how they live and burrow! The students read a story and made their predictions on whether or not the groundhog would see his shadow on February 2! Of course they also had a special groundhog treat, too!

As part of their January project, the Brownstown Middle School Service Squad spent their time preparing signs focusing on promoting the message of INCLUSION! In preparation for the Unified Basketball game against the Woodhaven Police Department, the club members created signs to share encouragement and gratitude.

Students in Mrs. McNamee's third grade at Gudith Elementary School worked together to color and complete a gigantic puzzle of MLK. They researched famous MLK quotes and wrote them on their traced hands that they colored with multicultural colored crayons. The project will be displayed outside the classroom through the month of February during Black History Month as a reminder of the contributions Dr. King made to society.
