This holiday season, our students are learning the true meaning of giving! ❤️ Miss Mahoney and her class joined forces with Ms. Turner’s class to spread holiday cheer through the gift of words. 📜💌
Our students wrote heartfelt holiday cards to the residents of Symphony Applewood Nursing Center, sharing kind notes and festive wishes to brighten their day. 🌟
The smiles and excitement on the kids' faces as they worked on this project were truly magical! 🖍️🎁 Together, we’re embracing the spirit of the season and making a difference— one thoughtful card at a time.

The Early On Community Engagement Event for December included a jolly old elf, some crafts and of course LOTS of fun for all who attended. The Early On Community engagement events are just one of the ways we connect with the children ages birth through five in the WBSD.

Staff around the WBSD were definitely on Santa's NICE list this year! Santa, Mrs. Claus., Lady Glitterbottom and Buddy the Elf made their way around to buildings in the district bringing Christmas cheer for all to see and hear!

The National Junior Honor Society BMS students have been diligently raising funds to support children in need, both within our community and for those in the hospital in Detroit. Since October, they have raised $2,000! Last week, they came together to purchase gifts for everyone, spreading extra holiday cheer.

What an exciting win at the last second of the game for the Varsity Basketball team! Warriors win over Lincoln Park 45-43 in a very tight game.

The Tote Early On Holiday party was recently held at BMS with the help of staff, NHS volunteers from WHS and THS and the Knights of the Road organization which has partnered with us for over 20 years. Thank you to everyone who made this event a success for our 60 families since over 175 people attended. Children received candy, pizza and a moment with Santa as well as time for crafts.

Students could hardly believe their eyes this morning when they found Eddie the Elf in the library at Erving Elementary School. Not only did Eddie draw mustaches on the staff, but he created a little mischief in the library too! Stay tuned for more of Eddie's antics this week!
