Coach Kelly and Coach Moseley took the Varsity and JV Girls Tennis teams to watch the University of Michigan Women’s Tennis match today. The girls had a great time watching Michigan’s victory over Washington and even got to meet the team after the match.

Congratulations to the Goon Squad who qualified for the FIRST Championship at the Michigan State Championship competition last weekend. The team once again won the Impact Award and ranked 46th out of 528 teams. They are one of 80 Michigan teams go to the World Championship.


To help kick off jazz appreciation month, we were lucky to have the Steve Wood Quartet present a concert during school today. Thanks to the Steve Wood Quartet, the Detroit Federation of Musicians and the MSU Community Music School Detroit for helping to make this possible

The Women of Woodhaven (WOW) Club at Woodhaven High School brought history to life for students at Wegienka and Bates Elementary Schools with their first-ever Women’s History Month Showcase!
WOW members led interactive stations highlighting women’s achievements in science, athletics, music, and art, engaging young learners with crafts, trivia, storytelling, and even a puppet show! 🎭🎨🏅

Today, we celebrate World Autism Acceptance Day, a time to recognize and support individuals on the autism spectrum.
Autism affects 1 in 36 children in the United States.

Thanks to the BSA, Black Student Alliance, a few WHS students had the opportunity to take a field trip to the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. The students enjoyed the trip and had a great time.
