In an effort to streamline communications district-wide, WBSD is asking families to complete the Welcome Back to School Packet on Parent Connect. This will help increase school to home communications district-wide. This should take 5 to 10 minutes to complete. If you’ve already completed this, thank you! Enroll Your Child for Kindergarten 2024-25! If you have a child who is five years old, it's time to start the enrollment process for kindergarten in WBSD. Go to www.wbsdweb.org and click on "Enroll" to begin the process or call (734) 783-3300 with any questions.

Today is the day! Meet us at the park to play today! Bring your Think Stretch Workbook to check in. The last WBSD Summer Learning Check-In is scheduled for 12-2 p.m. on TODAY, August 21. This check in will be held at the Woodhaven Civic Center Park Pavilion located at 23977 Hall Road, Woodhaven. This event will feature Bouncy Fun, Face painting, Balloon Animals and Kona Ice. We hope to see you there!

Due to lack of quorum, tonight’s WBSD Board of Education meeting has been rescheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.

WBSD students can keep on learning this summer with Amazing Animals Adventures and It’s Not Science. It’s Magic! are the class selections this week for elementary and middle school students. Be sure to search classes by topic, interests or grades! Woodhaven-Brownstown School District students will have access to free school meals again this new 2024-25 school year. Funding for the Michigan School Meals program was secured through a $200 million appropriation in the 2025 School Aid budget signed last month by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. The program provides one breakfast and one lunch to each public school student at no cost. Michigan began making school meals free to all children through the state program starting in the 2023-24 school year. Families do not need to pay for meals, but are asked to complete family income forms with their district. Additional meals and a la carte items are not included in this program. Be sure to check out the schools’ online menus in the WBSD app or online at https://mywbsd.nutrislice.com/

Gudith Elementary Backpack Giveaway!

Mark your calendars for our Open House on Tuesday, August 27, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM. This is a drop in event. Meet your teachers, tour the school, and see your classroom. You do not have to plan on being here for the entire time. Teacher assignments will be available on Parent Connect after 4:00 pm next Friday, August 23.
