Kindergarten … here I come!  -- It’s time to register for kindergarten for the 2025/26 school year. Beginning March 10, 2025, we will begin accepting enrollment for children who live in the Woodhaven-Brownstown School District.

In June 2012, Michigan law amended the Revised School Code (MCL380.1147) which changed the minimum age requirement for a child enrolling in kindergarten. Due to this change in the law, parents/legal guardians may enroll a child who resides in the school district in kindergarten if the child is at least 5 years of age on September 1 of the school year of enrollment. If a child does not meet the minimum age requirement but will turn 5 years of age no later than December 1 of that school year, the parent/legal guardian may sign a waiver to enroll their child in school.
